This week

This week I tried to eat salads every day for lunch and eat more veges with dinner.  I also went to the gym 3 times and walked around the shops heaps which must of all helped with a loss of 1.2 kilo.  I feel like I am back on track now and being back at work helps heaps as I find it easier to stick to the diet with a daily routine.

I attended a body balance class on Sunday and found that really good, but boy was I sore for the rest of the week.  It was 45 minutes of stretching and while that felt really good durng the class I have felt it this week.

This week I intend to exercise and eat more veges again.  Keep away from too much bread and definately leave the nutella int he cupboard.

Weekend

I always find the weekend hard, especially when we have family parties.  Saturday I went to the gym and in the evening had a ww meal.  Sunday I went to a family party, had some spinach dip (which is made with sour cream) but that's all that I had that was a bit naughty.  I do find it much easier to keep on track when I am at work, its all about routine and planning.  ONE STEP AT A TIME

Back at WW

Back at WW this week and I sure did have a great Christmas/holidays with a gain of 3.4 on the scales.  In all honesty I knew I had gained from how my clothes were fitting, just a bit snug and I dont want to start going down that path again, so I am back into it with enthusiasn and deterination to succeed.

What am I going to do??
  • Exercise (at least 3 times a week) and try and include every day exercise e.g parking away from the shops to make me walk etc
  • Track - yes I hate tracking but it does work
  • Drink lots of water
  • Stay positive, dont beat myself up if I slip up
Being back at work does make it easier to stick to a plan, and this week my 15  year old son came down with chicken pox so I haven't had a chance to snack.
Here is to a positive week!

New Start

I have returned from holidays refreshed and ready to get back into exercise and healthy eating.  I am going back to ww on Wednesday evening and expect to have gained some weight, but thats expected on holidays and I am fine with that.
So now I am planning and intend to plan my weeks meals ahead and set myself up to achieve my goals.

New Year

I have decided that 2010 will have the same commitment to my weight loss journey as last year.

  • I will attend WW meetings weekly and stay for the meetings
  • I will go to the gym 3 times a week or more if I can fit it in
  • I will attempt to track and keep a healthy diet
I am proud of 2009 and what I have achieved and feel so much better health wise.  Its amazing how much 15 kilos can make a difference in  your life.  We just came back from holidays and I had no trouble walking lot and felt comfortable in a swim suit and just loved the swimming.
  • Next holidays in Dec 2010 I hope to be in a size 12.
wishing everyone a Happy New Year

Christmas

Its unbelievable that we feel the need to stuff ourselves silly during the Christmas season, no wonder its called the silly season.
I have nothing but Christmas night outs, lucky most I have been able to pre order and that was done when I had my sensible hat on and able to choose appropriate meals that would suit my diet.  For some reason we feel we can eat as much as we like as soon as we put up the Christmas decorations lol  oh well lucky it only happens once a year.
I have finished work and have been enjoying relaxing with my family the past few days.
I have found a great way to exercise, walking around the shops doing your Christmas shopping.  Just dont visit the food court lol  I think I may be nearly finished with my shopping, now I just need to wrap them all up.
We have worked out our Christmas lunch, and as my Sister, daughter and myself are all following WW we have planned a pretty good lunch with lots of WW salads to go with our prawns, ham and chicken.  Mind you I will definately have to sample Mums pudding with brandy sauce, but just a sample will be enough.
Back to more wrapping, enjoy your silly season!

Sunday 29.11

December is nearly here and no time to get sick. I woke with a horrible sore throat and headache, so hopefully it will go as quickly as it came.
I have been preparing for Christmas lunch as I am hosting it this year and want to prepare low fat salads, cold meats and yummy seafood.  Check out some of the recipes as I will post them here when I can this week.
